Safaricom Ethiopia has officially launched its network in Metu, marking a significant milestone in its Western Ethiopia expansion. This new connectivity will link communities from Gambella to Metu, driving regional economic growth and improving residents' quality of life.
The launch also includes the establishment of three new service shops in Metu, ensuring easy access to Safaricom’s services. Furthermore, 100 job opportunities have been created for local youth, supporting employment growth in the area.
To give back to the community, Safaricom Ethiopia donated 10 laptops, 2 routers, and six months of free internet to a high school in Metu, enhancing digital learning and providing students with essential tools for their education.
