Nigeria has got the approval to use the telemedicine facility for mobile testing of the coronavirus thanks to the collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology through its agency, the Nigerian National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) and the Federal Ministry of Health.
The remote terminals, which are equipped with basic diagnosis equipment, are in Bayelsa, Bernin Kebbi, Ibadan, Gombe, Maiduguri, Makurdi, Owerri, and Owo, spread across the geopolitical zones in the country.
According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, with this facility they will be able to support the work of the Ministry of Health in curbing COVID-19 across the country.
