MTN Rwanda PLC has achieved a significant milestone in Rwanda's telecommunications sector by launching its 4G LTE network. This launch aims to transform Rwanda's digital landscape by offering faster, more affordable and more reliable connectivity to individuals, communities and businesses nationwide.

By rolling out the new 4G LTE technology across 80% of its network sites, MTN Rwanda becomes the largest and most extensive provider of 4G technology in the country. The company's commitment to investing over Rwf 26 billion in network infrastructure modernization ensures its customers enjoy best-in-class network connectivity and digital experience.

MTN Rwanda received a modified license that aligns with the updated Broadband Policy, allowing liberalized access to 4G and future technologies. This enabled the company to upgrade its network to offer 4G LTE connectivity, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

The introduction of 4G technology by MTN Rwanda promises improved connectivity and faster data speeds, leading to enhanced internet access for users. This advancement empowers individuals to access better digital services, multimedia content and social platforms. MTN Rwanda's 4G launch follows closely after its competitor, Airtel Rwanda, introduced similar services on its network.
